AirRater could help you.

Sometimes you know what’s causing your symptoms, like being with an animal or in a dusty room. However, it’s not always easy to work out what’s making your symptoms worse, or even why they go away. Environmental conditions such as air quality and weather can have a major impact, even though they are hard for you to see.

By using measurements of air quality, such as temperature, air pollution and pollen, AirRater helps you work out what environmental triggers make your symptoms get worse.

You can use AirRater to track your asthma and allergy symptoms. AirRater can help you work out which environmental triggers are causing these symptoms, providing you with information for your location. You can even get alerts when your triggers are high. This lets you plan your activities according to the air quality around you.

AirRater is also a research project that will allow investigators to better understand and respond to the health impacts of air pollution. You may be asked to complete a survey helping with this research.

AirRater was developed by researchers at the University of Tasmania, in collaboration with the Tasmanian Environmental Protection Agency, CSIRO, ANU and the Tasmanian Department of Health. AirRater is funded by the Australian Government, the University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute for Medical Research, the Tasmanian Department of Health, ACT Health and the NT Department of Health.
