NRP Bible - a return to the original meaning of the text adapted to the modern reader.

The main goal of entering the Bible - New Revised Translation project was to produce a high-quality modern and comprehensible translation, as close as possible to the original meaning of the text and more comprehensible to the modern reader, free from any kind of theological or traditional prejudices and indoctrination.

Interlinear Bibles in Hebrew and Greek, based on the Accepted Text, were used as reference material for revising and checking the accuracy of the translation. Other relevant translations and researches of scholars, experts in Hebrew and Greek languages ​​were consulted.

The revision of the text resulted in a large number of corrections, some of which, seemingly insignificant, are very important for the correct understanding of the reasons and the original theological message of the writer. In addition to archaic expressions, the NRP Bible has also corrected some errors that exist in old translations according to the Accepted Text.

Notes are given for the sake of a better and more precise understanding of concepts, comparing texts that talk about the same subject or clarify it additionally, for easier and faster theological understanding or certain scientific and technical clarifications, and in no way to support dogmas that do not belong to the science of the Holy Scriptures.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

- Word search (up to 300 results).

- Every verse that has a reference is marked in certain places with one or more asterisks. By clicking on a verse with an asterisk, a text with a note opens in a pop-up window.

- A long click on any verse activates the option to share the same or more marked verses, directly or from the search results.

- "Continue reading" option - the application remembers the last chapter of the book you read before closing it (button in the lower right corner and in the drop-down menu, icon at the top right).

- Option to choose font size (smaller - normal - larger).

- Theme selection option: light and dark theme for night reading mode (dark mode).

- The database with biblical text and references is self-updating in case some new corrections are made, so that the application checks the database when it is opened and, if there is a new one, downloads and synchronizes it.

New Revised Bible readers can download the app for iOS devices from the App Store.

We also recommend the EPUB edition, suitable for reading on all mobile devices. The advantage over the app is that all the reference links in the footnotes are active.
