The medieval knight’s clothing actually consists of a series of garments, chain mail and iron plate. The Knight wore underclothes to prevent the armor from chafing his skin. The medieval knight’s armor consists of many different parts. For example, the Sabatons were the armor for the feet and consisted of riveted iron plates on the boots. These are the part of the armor to be put on first.

The hand armors are the knight’s gloves and were called Gauntlets and had ringed metal plates over the fingers. Spikes called Gadlings were then attached to the knuckles of gauntlets. The Chest Armor was referred to as the Breast Plate.
