The instruments:
Matching the football theme, the traditional Apito whistle sounds like the officials
whislte. The apito can produce two different sounds in contrast to the simple whistle
known from soccer. These two whistle sounds can be found in every brazilian samba song.
At the foundation of every samba song there are the maracas creating a unique rythmn
base. The same holds for the guiro and the djembe (the drums). Without them a cool
samba beat is not possible.
