A free app to help you find taxis, taxi ranks and taxi fares in South Afrca

According to the City of Johannesburg; MINIBUS taxis are by far the cheapest and most popular form of public transport in South Africa, used mainly by the urban and rural poor class. But if you are a unfamilia with the public transport system in major cities, using a taxi can prove bewildering.

ASK-a-Taxi is here to ease some of the stress of having to walk around looking for the taxis. We bring the necessary information about Taxi Rank location with a google map link to take you right there, Taxi fares so you can know how much to budget once you find your taxis and the different stops the taxi will make.

This is a free app, created by a taxi user for the people. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with any taxi organisation or association.

The aim of the app is to make it easy for people to commute via minibus taxis.

This app is a work in progress and we will appreciate those who use the facility provided in the app to help us fill in the missing info bout the taxis in your routes.

Currently the information available is for Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town commute with plans to expand into other routes.
