রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে রবি ঠাকুর বা কবিগুরু নামে পরিচিত। তিনি 1861 সালের 7 ই মে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছিলেন। তিনি একজন ভারতীয় লেখক, সুরকার, দার্শনিক এবং চিত্রশিল্পী ছিলেন। তিনি 19 মে 20 শতকের গোড়ার দিকে বাংলা সংস্কৃতি, সাহিত্য এবং সংগীতকে পুনঃপ্রবর্তন করে বাংলা ভাষার সাহিত্যকে আধুনিকীকরণ করেছিলেন। গীতাঞ্জলির লেখক হিসাবে, তিনি ১৯১৩ সালে একজন গীতিকার হিসাবে সাহিত্যে প্রথম নোবেল পুরস্কার জিতেছিলেন।

তিনি কেবল ভাষার কঠিন রূপকে উপস্থাপন করে বাঙালি সাহিত্যের আধুনিকীকরণ করেননি, তিনি তাঁর উপন্যাস, গল্প, গান, নৃত্য এবং প্রবন্ধের মাধ্যমে একটি সুন্দর উপায়ে রাজনৈতিক এবং ব্যক্তিগত বিষয়গুলি চিত্রিত করেছিলেন। তাঁর সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রচনাগুলির মধ্যে রয়েছে গীতাঞ্জলি, গোরা এবং ঘরে বাইরে । তিনি তাঁর সাধারণ ভাষা, গীতিকারতা, প্রাকৃতিকবাদ এবং অপ্রাকৃত চিন্তার জন্য ব্যাপকভাবে প্রশংসিত। তাঁর দুটি রচনা দুটি দেশ তাদের জাতীয় সংগীত হিসাবে বেছে নিয়েছে: ভারত থেকে "জন গণ মন" এবং বাংলাদেশ থেকে "আমার সোনার বাংলা"। তাঁর কাজ শ্রীলঙ্কার জাতীয় সংগীতকেও অনুপ্রাণিত করেছিল।

Rabindranath Tagore is formally known as Rabi Thakur or Kobi Guru. He was born on the 7th of May 1861. He was an Indian writer, composer, philosopher, and painter from West Bengal. He modernized Bengali language literature in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by reintroducing Bengali culture, literature, and music. As the author of Gitanjali, he won the first Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 as a non-European lyricist. Ravi Thakur's lyric poems are seen as spiritual and mundane. His elegant prose and magical poetry are largely unknown outside Bengal.

He modernized Bengali literature by simply presenting the difficult scripture of language. He portrayed political and personal issues in a beautiful way through his novels, stories, songs, dances, and essays. Among his most significant works are Gitanjali, Gora, and Ghare-Baire. He is widely acclaimed for his simple language, lyricism, naturalism, and unnatural thinking. Two of his compositions were chosen by two nations as their national anthem: "Jana Gana Mana" from India and "Amar Shonar Bangla" from Bangladesh. His work also inspired the national anthem of Sri Lanka.
