The 59th Congress of the Brazilian Society of Economics, Administration and Rural Sociology (SOBER) will be held, with great honor, with the 6th Brazilian Meeting of Cooperative Researchers (EBPC), from August 2nd to 6th, 2021. The general theme this edition will be “Collective Actions and Resilience: Political, Socioeconomic and Environmental Innovations”.

With the uncertainties of the pandemic and the delay in vaccination, the two organizing institutions, SOBER and the OCB (Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives), decided for the virtual event, seeking to preserve, in the first place, the health of the participants.

It is expected that the 59th SOBER Congress and 6th EBPC - with the opening Aula Magna, the panels, the hundreds of presentations of oral papers, the various sessions organized by the congressmen themselves, the study group meetings also suggested by the congressmen, the launch of books, cultural activities and the virtual interaction between the participants – not only reverberate a technical-scientific event of quality, but that show that, although the challenges are greater than our individual efforts, they will never be greater than our collective actions and resilience !
