Sunnah Compass assists the user to find the correct direction to face in prayer.

Sunnah Compass is an accurate Qiblah locator that uses the authentic methodology of the highest ranking Muslim Scholars to guide users to the correct direction of prayer. Sunnah Compass features a map overlay with the users location showing the geographic features in the vicinity. The application also automatically corrects for magnetic North based on location (if available).

In accordance with the sayings of highly ranking Muslim scholars like Imam An-Nawawiyy, among the strong signs used to determine Al-Qiblah are the North Star and the Sun. How to Use/Important Notes:

1) Calibrate your phone using a figure-eight motion

2) If available, enable GPS

3) Place your phone on a flat surface far from metallic objects

4) Align your phone with surrounding geography or allow the magnetic sensor to self-align the phone

5) Sunnah Compass will show you the direction of the Qiblah relative to your position

6) Additionally, Sunnah Compass will show you the geographical position of the Sun during the day and the North Star during the night. Use these to increase the accuracy of your determination.
