The application will let you know the reserves and Natura 2000 sites in the Świętokrzyskie

The application is intended to stimulate interest in Natura 2000 sites and nature reserves in the. It gives the possibility to locate the position in relation to the forms of nature conservation. It allows you to explore the most important data concerning the nature reserves and Natura 2000 areas.

Coverage of protected areas across the region is approx. 65%, of which Natura 2000 areas are approx. 13.5% and nature reserves less than 0.4%.

Nature Reserve covers areas in natural or slightly changed state, ecosystems, refuges and natural habitats and the habitats of plants, animals and habitats habitat fungi and formations and elements of inanimate nature, outstanding value for the environmental, scientific, cultural or landscape. Wildlife in the region can be divided according to the type on the timber (25) and inanimate (23) steppe (8), floral (4) and fauna (3), peat (3) Parks (3) Water (2) , słonoroślowe (1).

Natura 2000 sites were created as one of the responsibilities associated with accession to the European Union. Created in all Member States by establishing a European Ecological Network of protected areas Natura 2000 areas have been created to protect the population of wild birds and natural habitats or species of Community interest.

Network Natura 2000 includes:

1) special protection areas.

2) Special Areas of Conservation,

3) areas of Community importance.

Natura 2000 sites in the region are: 2 special protection areas and 38 areas of importance for the Community, which in the future will become Special Areas of Conservation.

The application was created within the project RPSW.04.05.00- WND-26-0014 / 15 mo. "The diagnosis of conditions and active protection of Natura 2000 areas and nature reserves in the province of Świętokrzyskie" co-financed within the framework of RPOWŚ 2014-2020.
