Application for alternative communication and socialization of special people

Mecom is a mobile application for speech formation, non-verbal communication and all-round development. It helps in a fun way to master communication skills and gradually come to an independent life. The application was developed in collaboration with professional educators who have dedicated themselves to working with special people.

For full-fledged work during classes, we recommend using a tablet, not a mobile phone.

Now classes according to our methodology are available not only to specialists of centers, social support institutions and specialized psychological and pedagogical centers, but also to parents at home. The application has a training program where an experienced specialist will explain and demonstrate how to conduct a lesson at home and how to master the skill of non-verbal communication.

The application is suitable for classes with people with speech disorders and the following established diagnoses:

1. Artistic spectrum disorder (autism)

2. Mental retardation

3. Cerebral palsy

4. Delayed mental and speech development

5. Down syndrome

6. and other intellectual and mental disorders

The application includes a number of modules that contain galvanized methodologies for working with people with special needs:

1. The Communicator module contains 7 levels of mastering non-verbal communication, where starting from simple forms of communication, limited to one word, such as "Apple", you can gradually develop communication to the level of complex sentences "Mom give me a big red apple please." For communication, you can add any necessary cards - that is, words in an unlimited number

2. The lesson program module contains 5 levels of communication development, each level contains videos explaining how to practice correctly, and also contains a number of other modules that will gradually be included in classes, such as visual schedules, social stories and games

3. The Visual Schedule module allows you to create a daily schedule presented in the form of understandable pictures, you can allocate a certain time for each task and schedule it for a specific time. After completing the task, you will receive a short game as a reward

4. The Social Stories module contains several types of social stories that will serve as an example for creating your own stories, after studying each of which you can be tested for its assimilation

5. Games module is a series of games designed to develop cognitive abilities and motor skills, you can customize the games in a way that suits you and move on to new levels after mastering the initial ones. If there are difficulties, a hint will appear in the game and help with the task.

6. The Vocabulary Expansion module will help in the development of various spheres of life, from animals to household items, body parts and vehicles. If necessary, you can supplement the dictionary with the cards you need

7. The communication training module will help at the initial stage of developing communication skills through a tablet
