As Aisha, the Mother of the Believers, may God be pleased with her, mentioned a supplication that Gabriel used to recite ruqyah for the Prophet Muhammad when he was afflicted with envy or illness, where she says: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, complained, Gabriel would recite ruqyah for him, saying: In the name of God, he will bless you, and he will heal you from every disease, and from evil. An envier when he envies, and evil to every eye, as stated in Sahih Al-Bukhari.

Legal ruqyah for the patient

The legal ruqyah also benefits the sick person, as there are many authentic hadiths that the Prophet Muhammad would pray for if he became ill or one of his family became ill, or if any of the Muslims resorted to it, and among these hadiths are:

Aisha, may God be pleased with her, narrates in Sahih al-Bukhari that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to say to the sick person: In the name of God, the soil of our land, the saliva of some of us, our sick person will be healed, with the permission of our Lord.

The Mother of the Believers, Aisha, may God be pleased with her, says in Sahih al-Bukhari that when the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, would come to a sick person - or he would be brought to him - he would say: Remove the affliction, Lord of people. Heal and you are the healer. There is no cure except your recovery, a cure that cannot be neglected See sickness. .

Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, says in Naqati’ al-Afkar by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani: Whoever says in the morning, “I seek refuge in the perfect words of God from the evil of what He has created,” a scorpion will not harm him until the evening, and whoever says it in the evening, it will not harm him until the morning.

On the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas in Sunan al-Tirmidhi, he narrates on the authority of the Prophet Muhammad, saying: There is no Muslim servant who returns to a sick person whose death has not come, and says seven times: I ask God Almighty, Lord of the Mighty Throne, to heal you, except that he will heal you.
