Abdullah Ahmed Kamel (1985 - 2023), a blind Egyptian Muslim preacher and Quran reciter, born in Fayoum Governorate in one of the villages of Youssef Al-Siddiq Center called Al-Mushriq Qibli.

About his life

Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed Kamel was born blind in 1985. He memorized the entire Holy Qur’an since childhood in Braille. He graduated from Fayoum University in 2005 after joining the Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum. He also participated in a competition called “The Golden Pipe” in 2015, which was presented on Al-Fajr Channel. Satellite TV, where he won first place.

His fame

Sheikh Abdullah Kamel is famous for his sweet voice in reading the Holy Quran, and he has many recordings on the Internet, most of which are available on his official YouTube channel. He also participated in presenting a group of Islamic religious programs through famous satellite channels such as Al-Rahma Channel, Al-Nas Channel, Al-Hafiz Channel, Al-Nada Satellite Channel, and many others. Sheikh Abdullah Kamel was one of the singers who was distinguished by his melodious voice, and one of his most famous chants was “Did you pray for him today?” It has achieved success and spread in Egypt. Sheikh Abdullah Kamel traveled to more than one country to lead worshippers, including the State of Kuwait, and the prayers he led during the holy month of Ramadan were broadcast on Kuwaiti television. He also traveled to some other countries such as the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries of the world.

His death

Sheikh Abdullah Kamel died in the United States after a preaching trip there since the beginning of the month of Ramadan 1444 AH, and that was on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 AD, corresponding to Shawwal 6, 1444 AH.
