It is a great book that talks about an important topic that concerns the Islamic nation now and at all times, and even the whole world, namely, the issue of education and its observance of the stages of human development. Ibn al-Jawzi clarified that he should know that each stage of human development has what suits it in terms of knowledge, etiquette, and behavior, with which it is upright, so the book began by dividing a person’s life into five seasons, recommending that the sane person seize the opportunity and try not to pass through those stages unless he is provided with as appropriate. The first section is from birth to puberty, the second section is from puberty to the end of youth, and the third section: old age, which is from the end of youth to the full fifty, and the fourth section is old age: from fifty to seventy, and the fifth section: old age: which is from seventy to the end of life.
Author:
Ibn al-Jawzi is Abu al-Faraj Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad al-Qurashi al-Taymi al-Bakri. A Hanbali jurist, hadith scholar, historian and theologian (510 AH / 1116 AD - 12 Ramadan 597 AH) was born and died in Baghdad. He enjoyed wide fame, and a great position in rhetoric, preaching, and classification, as he emerged in many sciences and arts. His lineage goes back to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, and he was known as Ibn Al-Jawzi because of a walnut tree that was in his house in the town of Wasit, and there was no walnut tree in the town except it.

- An educational booklet from Lataif, the writings of Ibn Al-Jawzi.. Life is divided into stages, and each stage briefly describes what is suitable for seizing life in it, whether it is knowledge, work, or worship. God willing
Hala Amin
- In this small booklet, Ibn al-Jawzi informs us about the stages of life, which he divided into five sections, and he talked about each season separately, and explained the importance of making use of each stage of our lives for what benefits us in this world, especially the Hereafter. He concluded the book with a recommendation that includes all the owners of these seasons, and he singled out the youth, not to waste their lives in idleness, but rather urged them to work as much as they can, so that God accepts their deeds from them. And what should I add except that Ibn al-Jawzi himself, but I would have appreciated the book more if he had gone deeper into describing these stages because he spoke about them simply and without many details.

- A short book that you finished in a session, but, God willing, the words of the ancients in it are short and dense.. I liked its division into the stages of a person’s life

- The first season (from the time of birth to the time of puberty, which is fifteen years): Childhood section, in which it focused on the importance of raising the boy and teaching him the sciences, and alerting parents to the brilliance of their children and the high determination of some of them.
- The second season (from the time of puberty to the end of youth): He called it the age of youth and desired it to marry and urged the young man to avoid sins.
The third season (mature age): from 35 to 50 years, and it was considered a period in between, as the man has a residual remnant of youthful youth and the recession of old age has begun. And focus on an increase in obedience. As long as there is youthful youth and their energy.
The fourth season (old age): from 50 to 70 years. In this season, the man remembers his youth and the sins he committed, regretting what has passed, citing poetic verses and sayings of the righteous.
