Sayd al-Khater is one of the most important masterpieces of Imam Abdul Rahman Ibn al-Jawzi, consisting of 512 pages. It has an impact on the reader’s thought in a smooth manner. Ibn al-Jawzi began his book with the praise of God and prayers and peace be upon his Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, then he explained the reason for writing this book, which is that he used to present to him many thoughts, so he would get distracted from them, and then they would go away. It was important to memorize what comes to mind so as not to forget, and this is what he did in this book. It is simply a window into what is going on in himself, his analysis of those around him and his views on them. He put in it some of his ideas and what he contemplated on the human soul through his personal experiences in his life, and these ideas came in a wonderful way at the summit of rhetoric to convey to us the summary of his experiences, as it includes a lot of religious reflections, trying to restore what we think has been broken in our relationship with our Lord He restores us from within ourselves.
