Long Shadow Man or Long Legged Father is a novel by American writer Jane Webster. The story revolves around an orphan girl named Judy Abbott, who receives a scholarship to study at Lincoln High School by someone she does not know. His nickname is John Smith, and she invented the name for him “The Long Shadow Man.” She was unable to see him and thank him, she only saw his long shadow. . The only compensation Smith required from Judy in exchange for the scholarship was that she write to him once a month, without necessarily expecting a response from him.
