He clarified his approach by saying: For I singled out one translation for all of them at the end of each year, and I say: He mentioned several incidents, and if I mention some of those who excelled and ruled a country in the country, and his days did not last, then I mention all his condition from beginning to end at the beginning of his matter, because if his story spreads he is not known due to ignorance of it. And I mentioned at the end of each year of the famous scholars, notables, and virtuous people who died in it.

And the author of this book is Izz al-Din Abi al-Hassan al-Jazari al-Mawsili, known as Ibn al-Athir al-Jazari, one of the most prominent Muslim historians, a contemporary of the state of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, and he monitored its events. His complete book on history is a reference for that period of Islamic history.
