Marei bin Yusuf bin Abi Bakr bin Ahmed Al-Karmi Al-Maqdisi Al-Hanbali: a literary historian, one of the senior scholars.

He was born in Torkarem (Palestine) and moved to Jerusalem and then to Cairo, where he died.
