Besides, in this Purana, Radha, Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Savitri and other goddesses are mentioned as incarnations of nature. Some anecdotes from the Mahabharata and Devi Mahatmyam have also been added to this Purana. Another notable feature of the Brahmavaivarta Purana is that in this Purana, femininity has been glorified through Radha. This Purana, without distinguishing between men and women, says that all women are the supporting force of the creation of the universe, and that insulting a woman is tantamount to insulting Radha.

The mythological stories of the Brahmavaivarta Purana and the Bhagavata Purana have had a special impact on the Krishna-worshiping communities of Hinduism, such as Raslila and other dances and arts.
