குமரி மாவட்டம் திருவிதாங்கோட்டின் பேராசிரியர், கவிஞர், இலக்கிய ஆசிரியர் இறையருட் கவிமணி, காலம் சென்ற கா. அப்துல் கபூர் அவர்கள் அழகு தமிழில் இஸ்லாமிய இலக்கி -யங்கள் பல படைத்தவர்.

பெருமானாரின் நானூறு பொன்மொழிகளை கற்கண்டுத் தமிழில் கவிதை வடிவிலாக்கி 'நபிமொழி நானூறு' எழுதி இஸ்லாமியத் தமிழிலயக்கியத்திற்கு அணிசேர்த்த பேராசிரியர்.

Popularly called "divinely inspired poet" Prof. Abdul Gafoor sahib was the first Tamil professor to be appointed as a collage principle in the Madras University. Born in Thiruvithancode Kanyakumari district Prof. Gafoor sahib's contribution to Tamil Literature is exemplary.

"Nabi Mozhi Nanooru " is one of his book in that 400 sayings of Prohet Mohammed (PBUH) is compiled as tamil poems.
