There are steps to deal with car theft, first report to the police.

After the public vehicle is stolen, the owner must report to the police station as soon as possible, complete the reporting procedures and obtain the vehicle theft certificate, so as to prevent the thief from driving your car on the road, and you will still pay the violation ticket, license tax and fuel fee. According to Item 4 of Article 33 of the Road Traffic Safety Rules, when the car is stolen, the owner of the car should submit the vehicle theft certificate issued by the police agency and fill in the transaction registration form, and apply for the deregistration of the stolen vehicle to the highway supervision agency.

The owner of the vehicle has reported the case to the police station due to the theft of the vehicle and has gone through the formalities of canceling the license to the supervisory unit. If the vehicle owner is later found and has not re-applied a new license to the supervisory unit, and is found to be using public roads, he shall comply with Article 28, Item 2 of the Tax Law on the Use of Licenses. Provide for taxes and penalties.
