About 星座早見

The original constellation Hayami board of the Nagoya City Science Museum has become an application.

The Nagoya City Science Museum's original planisphere is now an app. The sky of the current time is displayed at startup. If you want to see it at another time, just rotate the board with your fingertips. It is easy to see even in the dark and can be scaled freely. It is a planisphere app of Sugremono that displays the position of the planet at night, which is impossible with the printed planisphere!

Many people know how to use the planisphere because they learn it in elementary school. It is a planisphere in the IT era that has the advantages of the above-mentioned application while keeping the easy-to-understand usage of the planisphere printed on paper or plastic. Please take this and look up at the real starry sky.

At startup, the sky at the current time is displayed. If you want to see it at another time, drag the date scale or the outside with your fingertips and rotate it around to match the date and time. You can freely zoom in and out by pinching the board. It shines even in the dark and is easy to see, and will accompany star watching. It is a planisphere app of Sugremono that can display the position of the planet at night, which is impossible with the printed planisphere!

[Characteristics of the app version of the planisphere]

・ Anytime, anywhere: When I suddenly feel like looking up at the night sky, I am on standby in my smartphone or tablet.

-Very easy to use: The usage is the same as the planisphere that I learned a long time ago. Please turn it around.

-Can be used suddenly: At startup, the night sky at that time is displayed immediately. It's easier than the printed constellation planisphere.

・ Because it is a prominent planet: It is a planet that stands out in the night sky. However, since the position changes day by day, it could not be displayed on the planisphere of printing. In the app version, the positions of the five planets and the moon that are visible to the naked eye at that night are calculated and displayed as icons.

・ I am good at dark places: It is a dark place to look up at the stars. A flashlight was needed for the printed constellation planisphere. The screen of the app version is shining, so it doesn't matter if it's dark. The trick is to reduce the brightness so that it is not dazzling.

-Planisphere that is kind to the elderly: Small letters in the dark are hard to see. The app version of the planisphere can be enlarged or reduced freely with your fingertips. Furthermore, since it is originally shining, it is easier to see than the printed constellation planisphere.

・ Even at sunrise and sunset: The planisphere can read the rising time by aligning the target celestial body with the eastern horizon, and the setting time by aligning it with the western horizon. The app version of the Planisphere displays not only stars but also planets, the moon, and the sun, so you can read the approximate time and direction of sunrise and sunset, for example.

・ Use for education: At schools, science museums, planetariums, and public observatories, there are scenes that explain how to use the planisphere. When explaining how to use it, it is small and difficult to see on the printed planisphere. In the app version, you can connect your mobile device to a projector or a large screen and enlarge it so that everyone can see it. There is also a more sophisticated PC version (Windows, Mac compatible). If you have a tablet device in the classroom, you can use it instead of the printed constellation planisphere.

・ Nagoya City Science Museum ・ Planetarium opened in 1962. It is a planisphere packed with the experience and know-how of curators. We used the planisphere, which is sold at the museum shop, as an app, and used it at the Nagoya City Science Museum's citizen observation event, learning projection, and astronomical exhibition room. You can see the famous stars, moons, and planets that are bright even in the city. Please take this and look up at the real starry sky.

・ Nagoya City Science Museum ・ Astronomical Information introduces various astronomical phenomena and events. If you want to know more about the Planisphere app, please click here.
