In fact, I suffered from depression in the past, but by studying this teaching, my mind is less likely to drop, and I am able to spend my days cheerfully. strongly recommended.

As a child, Adler suffered from vocal cord spasms and rickets. In addition, the fact that his brother, who was three years younger than him, died of diphtheria when he was one year old, and above all, that Adler himself almost died from pneumonia at the age of four, motivated him to become a doctor. After studying at the Gymnasium, he entered the medical faculty of the University of Vienna in 1888. After graduating in 1895, he started an ophthalmologist and later an internal medicine clinic in Leopoldstadt, Vienna's 2nd district, where many of the lower- and middle-class people live, mostly Jewish. His patients were generally not well off, and since his clinic was near the Prater amusement park, many of them made a living on their physical abilities, such as trapeze riders and street performers who worked at the amusement park. rice field. Among them, there were quite a few people who were physically weak when they were young, but overcame it through effort and on the contrary, strengthened or made use of their weak parts, which later became known as ``organ inferiority''. It prompted Adler to begin thinking about an idea that he would call 'compensation', which helped Adler develop the theory of 'compensation' and 'overcompensation'. In 1897, he married Liza Timofeyanya Epstein, a Russian Jew.

In 1898, Adler published his first book, The Health Handbook for the Tailor. Adler was determined to improve society through correct knowledge of medicine, so he set himself apart from the political movements that were boiling at the time. In 1902 he was invited by Sigmund Freud to join Freud's research group, which marked the beginning of his involvement with psychoanalysis. In 1907, he published his first work, A Study of Organ Inferiority, and in 1910 he became chairman of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society and editor-in-chief of the Central Journal of Psychoanalysis. However, from around this time, he often disagreed with Freud, and in 1911 Adler founded the Society for Free Psychoanalysis (renamed the Society of Individual Psychology in 1913) with his main colleagues. Completely different from the theory of Freud and others, he published "On Nervousness" in 1912.

Serving as an army doctor in the First World War from 1916, and observing the war and the many wounded, especially those with neurosis, Adler realized that a sense of community was of paramount importance. This headline was one of the reasons why, after the end of World War II, people began to talk about a sense of community as the latest foundation of individual psychology.
