Guided tour of Zhishan Rock, Taiwan’s first cultural and historical site

Located in Shilin District, Taipei City, Zhishan Rock is Taiwan's first green and ecological cultural and historical park. It was designated as the second-class monument in 1993. It includes at least the prehistoric cultures such as the Dazukeng culture, the Zhishanyan culture, the Yuanshan culture, and the botanical garden culture, as well as the history and culture of the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese rule and the Nationalist government. The Huiji Palace in the park is a third-level historic site. Zhishanyan Shrine, dedicated to the murdered Japanese teachers, was the spiritual center of Japanese educators in Taiwan at that time. The terrain in the park produces strange rocky landscapes due to weathering. There are wooden planks extending in all directions in the park, and the trail display signs record rich history and environmental stories. Plants and birds are also the focus of the visit. The 300-year-old camphor tree is the oldest camphor tree in Taipei. Sapindus yellow leaves in the mountains in autumn. Birds include pasqueflower, white eye, etc. More birds and plants can be seen in the Zhishan Cultural Ecological Garden.

Permission description

This will happen even if the app is closed or not in use. The result of access at this location will not be transmitted and used for other functions.

--Photo permission: This application will download photos and data for offline use, reducing cloud traffic, and at the same time, reading data from the mobile phone makes navigation smoother.

--Camera permission: This application provides AR positioning function to guide various scenic spots through the lens.
