This wall is Theodosius' thousand year old wall, the strongest defense of the Middle Ages. The Ottoman Turks of the 14th and 15th centuries referred to it as “the bone in the throat of God”––the psychological barrier that stifled their ambitions and hindered their dreams of conquest. For Western Christians, this wall is a fortress that protects them from Islam. He protects them from the Muslim world and keeps them calm.
