A Simple Task List Manager

*An assignment for partial fulfilment of the coursework of Mobile Applications Development of AY2021/22 in Ngee Ann Polytechnic*

We were all students at one point of our lives, some still are, and thus brings the question, have you ever had the experience of suddenly realising that you have yet to submit work that was either due very soon or already passed the due date? Or find yourself having a short-term memory? To those that thought "Yes" to either of those questions, this app is perfect for you!

'Remember To Do' is a task managing app that allows you to manage your tasks, with the ability to assign a due date and a difficulty level to your tasks, along with the ability of grouping tasks together based on a category like 'Homework' that you can set and assign a colour to said grouping. 'Remember To Do' will also mark the tasks that have passed due dates as well.

So, what sets us apart from other task management applications? Firstly, 'Remember To Do' has a widget feature that allows you the ability to see your tasks on the home screen using our widget, so that you can see your tasks easily, not having to launch the app every time you wish to see said tasks. Secondly, we have a challenge timer feature where you can challenge yourself in completing a task when creating a task. Using a timer that can run in the background to prevent over consumption of battery from having the screen constantly turned on, with music and push notifications to alert you of its completion as well. This challenge timer is a feature we have yet to see be available on other task management applications. A third feature would be the dark mode theme, that we find users appreciating more often than not, so as to not strain your eyes as much when using the application.
