Electronic crew list registration on your mobile phone

Construction terminal for your mobile phone allows you to register in / out in the electronic crew list from your mobile phone.

Your location information

To activate the registration reminder when you arrive / leave the construction site, the Construction Terminal must have access to your background position. You will therefore be asked to provide such access if you have not already done so.

Why do we need this access?

In order to receive a registration reminder, we basically use what is called "geofencing" to detect when you arrive / leave a construction site where you have activated such a reminder.

This means that we do not have a continuous active tracking of your position. We will only receive a notification from your device's operating system once you have moved it within or left the area in question. It is nevertheless the case that this function basically only works in circular areas. Due to this limitation, the "geofencing" area that the operating system warns of will be larger than the actual construction area when it is not circularly defined. Therefore, we do an extra check of your position in the background when the "geofencing" function notifies you that you have arrived / left a construction site where you have activated the registration reminder.

If you are within the actual area, a registration reminder will be provided. If not, the app itself will periodically in the background check if you have actually arrived within the construction area a little later. This background check will continue until it is detected that you are actually within the defined area (you will then receive a registration reminder), or until it is detected that you have left the "geofencing" area. When you are in such an intermediate state, your position is periodically reported to our server. Apart from this, it is not reported.

In this way, we also avoid using an unnecessary amount of battery on your mobile.

Who gets access to the position?

Your unique / exact position will not be made available to any users of the system, and will not be sold / passed on to external parties. It is only used by the system to decide whether the registration reminder should notify, and by Proresult's employees to be able to troubleshoot / improve the functionality.

The person / persons who have access to registration data from the system will only implicitly know that a user who has registered has been within a defined construction area, or at the card reader that was used for registration, and thus have some information about the user's position on this point.

What happens if I cancel?

Construction terminal works as before, you just do not get a registration reminder.

You can also stop the function / access yourself at any time later.
