Extending navi apps with accident hotspot warnings (for now only in Switzerland)
Avertu is part of a research project on accident hotspot detection and warnings, developed in the Bosch IoT-Lab at ETH Zurich and Uni St.Gallen.
The app automatically detects when a navigation app (such as GoogleMaps, HERE or Waze) is active and provides warning of dangerous locations while you are driving.
The app also detects and shares critical driving events to help us predict new dangerous locations - you can opt out of this in the settings.

- Avertu now runs more seamlessly on your smartphone and with other apps!
- We have changed how we detect which navi-apps are open, which should reduce battery consumption and data usage.
