Batabi Lebu

In Bengali Batabi Lebu and is often interpreted as grapefruit in English.

This is a pity because the Batabi Lebu is quite different, the grapefruit and not the frightening result for the salad.

It is a common Bengali use of Batabi Lebu- it is consumed with chili, sugar and Indian rock salt (black salt, called kala, which is strongly aromatic and actually pink - is different from Himalayan salt).

It's a type of recipe that can be used with green mango, for example, or other fruits and vegetables, even grapes. Interestingly, this is even better with a light Batabi Lebu(yum bin tuber).Batabi Lebu is a common fruit in Bengal and it comes in its season after the rainy season.
