The Book of Usul Sunnah Attractive Choices For You

Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who believed before us.

Praying for Mercy for the Companions of At-Tarahhum 'saying and praying for mercy' for all the companions of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam because Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala says:

الَّذِينَ اءُوا لُونَ ا اغْفِرْ لَنَا لِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ ا الْإِيمَانِ

"And those who came after them (Emigrants and Ansar), they prayed: "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who have believed before us, and do not let envy in our hearts against those who those who believe; Our Lord, You are Most Forbearing, Most Merciful." (Al Hasyr: 10).

We were not ordered, except to ask for forgiveness for them. Therefore, whoever reproaches them, or hates them or any of them, is not above the Sunnah and has no right for him in the form of fai`. More than one person has reported to us from Malik bin Anas that he said: "Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala has given a share of the spoils of war. Allah Ta'ala says:

لِلْفُقَرَاءِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الَّذِينَ ا ارِهِمْ

"(also) for the poor who emigrated who were expelled from their hometowns" (Al Hasyr: 8).

Allah Ta'ala also says:

الَّذِينَ اءُوا لُونَ ا اغْفِرْ لَنَا لِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ ا الْإِيمَانِ

Whoever does not say this, he is not a person who is entitled to be given a share in the form of fai`.
