The Class IX Buddhist Religion and Character Education Book was prepared with the aim of assisting students in learning the subjects of Buddhism and Ethics. The preparation of this book is adjusted to the learning outcomes of Buddhist and Character Education in each phase based on student activities.

This book offers learning that combines the values ​​of Buddhist teachings with the state's basic Pancasila values ​​which are packaged in a very easy form with the current context, in accordance with the character and abilities of students at the First Intermediate level of class IX, with various scientific models and approaches, as well as 21st century learning context.

This book consists of eight chapters and twenty-five learning subchapters, each learning subchapter is equipped with picture illustrations with the aim of making it easier for students to learn and understand all the material presented in this book.

In this way, the learning atmosphere will involve students to be more active, creative and innovative in understanding, processing and digesting the Buddhist religion and morals lessons given. In the end, students will be able to realize their competencies in the realm of spiritual, social attitudes, knowledge and skills, which are the achievement points in implementing a curriculum that is oriented towards the Pancasila student character.

The author would like to thank various parties who have helped publish this book. The author realizes that in writing this book it is still far from perfect, therefore the author really hopes for constructive suggestions, criticism and input, so that this book becomes perfect.
