Nationally, English language lessons for elementary school students are still not a subject that must be taught. MyNextWords was prepared based on observations and empirical experience of teaching English in various regions in Indonesia. In short, to introduce English in elementary school, a syllabus and materials are needed that are prepared according to the context of students and schools in Indonesia in general. The objectives stated in the syllabus must be realized in teaching materials that will enable students to use English and their level of success can be evaluated.

My Next Words was prepared to fulfill the main objective of learning English in elementary schools, namely to enable students to interact with other people, including teachers and friends. As is the rule of language acquisition, the ability to listen and respond must be prioritized at an early stage in the lower grades. After students can automatically respond to the language they are introduced to more automatically, teachers can start to introduce reading and writing which must also be interactive.

My Next Words was developed with a model that initiates contextual language recognition. Through the teacher's appropriate language of instruction, it is hoped that each activity at the initial stage will attract the attention of students. This is then followed by guided practice so that students are confident and then followed by practice using the language more freely by students.

In order for teachers to be able to carry out this interactive learning process, apart from sufficient Iisan language skills, teachers need teaching materials that help them enable students to interact. For this reason, the teaching materials that we package in My Next Words provide many worksheets as interaction tools for students. Apart from that, the teaching materials we make always have topics that are always in the context of the situation, as well as introducing students to various simple language patterns as an option.

My Next Words uses the principle of recycling in introducing language concepts. Various vocabulary words are repeated and the level of difficulty is added gradually so that the language material studied is stored in long-term memory. In order for learning to occur interactively, the use of gestures and actions by the teacher is absolutely necessary. My Next Words is a solution for teaching English at the elementary school level.
