Greetings Indonesian Music. Writing this 3rd grade music teacher's guide book was truly a beautiful gift for both of us as writers. For almost four years, Reizki Habibullah and I taught music and community education courses together for students of the Ethnomusicology study program at ISI Sura Karta.

One of the activities is to facilitate students to practice as music educators in formal, non-formal and informal educational environments. Some of the reference teaching materials used are books produced by the Center for Curriculum and Books (PUSKURBUK). I really didn't think that finally the two of us would be given the opportunity to play a role and dedicate the knowledge of music and ethnomusicology that we have to a wider audience through the publication of this book.

On behalf of the writing team, we would like to thank all parties who have assisted in the process of writing this third grade music teacher's guidebook. We would like to express our gratitude to the Center for Curriculum and Books (PUSKURBUK) which has facilitated this writing process. Especially, to the Leadership and Staff of PUSKURBUK, Mr. Maman, Mr. Oos, Mbak Dinda, and Mbak Khofifah.

Thank you for providing access, direction and excellent service. We also express our thanks to the review team who are like our own family, Pak Yulius G. Maran and Bang Johannes Pandapotan Purba. The smooth writing of this book cannot be separated from the support and prayers of our two families at home, Mamah Acih's mother, my wife Nenden Garcinia, my two daughters Nur Ayu Ainnunisa and Riza Alif Auliya, and Habib Reizki Habibullah's father and mother. We dedicate this book to all teachers and students. We hope that this book will accompany our musical academic journey for this nation and country.

Hopefully music education in Indonesia will have more character and provide many benefits for the benefit of the people.

Hopefully this application can be useful and become a loyal friend in the teaching and learning process at all times.
