The Canadian Biosafety Standard (CBS), third edition, developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), is used to verify the ongoing compliance of regulated facilities with a human pathogen and toxin licence or a terrestrial animal pathogen import or transfer permit.

The Canadian Biosafety App v3.0 allows you to search the CBS requirements specific to your facility. The app was updated to include all requirements from the CBS, third edition, and has features such as:

• Full-text view of the CBS

• Filter CBS requirements and create lists specific to your facility

• Save lists for different locations within your facility

• Filter all biosecurity-related requirements

• Add notes and photos to the requirements displayed

• Check boxes for verification status of requirements

• Sort requirements by status

• Search keywords within a location's list of requirements

• Export a list of requirements specific to a location
