Acharya Chanakya (estimated 376 BC - 283 BC) was the Prime Minister of Chandragupta Maurya. He is also known as Kautilya or Vishnugupta. He destroyed the Nanda dynasty and made Chandragupta Maurya the king. Arthashastra written by him (Kautilya's Arthashastra) is a great treatise, which is useful for politics, economy, agriculture, social policy etc.
