When one of the French customers tasted this drink, he congratulated him by shouting 'Vie Le Cocktail.'

The cocktail first gained fame in America. In America, it was drunk in cocktail bars until drunk and in sports competitions and picnics as a supportive mixture. During Prohibition in the 1920s in America, everyone changed their drinking habits. Since the drinks they could find were not the same as before, people started to create a good drink by mixing everything they saw. As a result, "mixed drinks (cocktails)" were made.
