The Red Cross of Côte d'Ivoire (RCCI) is a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), the largest volunteer organization in the world. Founded in 1963, the RCCI's auxiliary of the Ivorian Government which places it as the first responder to disasters of all kinds and providing the necessary assistance to the most vulnerable populations. Its programs cover a broad spectrum of fields: health and social services, emergency relief, prevention and disaster preparedness, water and sanitation, and education and awareness. RCCI All the initiatives are crucial for emergency response in times of crisis or disaster, and for the sustainable development of communities in peacetime. In all its interventions, the Red Cross is guided by seven fundamental principles: Humanity, Impartiality, Independence, Unity, Volunteering, neutrality and universality.

In addition to all this, the RCCI provides training recognized by the state for individuals and businesses: National First Aid Certificate (BNT), Fire Safety IGH / ERP and EPI / ESI, Rescue Aid Officer (SST), Health and Safety at Work, Safe Conduct in Case of Attack, Using Defibrillator (AED / DEA). And, as an organization based on volunteering, RCCI recruits, trains and deploys volunteers across the country to implement its programs and help vulnerable populations.
