DIAmant (diabetes management technology) - the digital blood sugar diary

The DIAmantApp is a digital diabetes diary for functional therapy management. It was developed with the aim of making it easier for users of the GlucoCheck GOLD blood glucose monitoring system to manage their diabetes on a daily basis and to document their blood glucose values.

Features:

The DIAmantApp is divided into four main areas: “Data entry”, “My profile”, “My values” and “More”. The respective areas include the following functions:

DATA ENTRY

Bluetooth transmission:

Fast & easy data import via Bluetooth. To connect the GlucoCheck GOLD blood glucose meter to the app, simply enter the last four characters of the device serial number (SN) and start the import.

Manual data entry:

Under this point there is an input mask in which users can enter, in addition to the blood sugar value, other data (such as nutrition, medication, blood pressure, pulse, weight, sporting activities).

MY PROFILE

Base values:

In this area the user can enter basic information. These include his “diabetes type”, “time of initial diagnosis”, “gender”, “date of birth” and “height”.

Medication:

Regularly required types of insulin and/or tablets can be stored here. Medications (insulin type or tablets) that are not included in the app can be added using the “plus symbol”.

Memories:

Times stored here serve as a reminder to take a blood sugar measurement. The user receives a “push notification” from the app at the set time.

Target area:

The target range (ideal blood sugar range) can be set individually by the user. Important: Please contact your doctor to determine your individual target range.

MY VALUES

Under “My Values” all the data that has been entered into the app is displayed in various forms. The following display formats can be selected:

Graphical representations:

- Daily overview (overview of all blood sugar values ​​for a day)

- 7-day overview (overview of all blood sugar values ​​from the last 7 days)

By tapping a measurement value, further information such as date, time, measurement value and measurement value marker can be accessed. To zoom in, simply spread the display with two fingers.

Tabular views

The following data is displayed in a table in the DIAmantApp:

- Blood sugar values ​​(date, time, reading and reading marker)

- Blood pressure (date, time and reading)

- Pulse (date, time and measured value)

- Weight (date, time and measured value)

- Nutrition (date, time and food intake in BE or KE)

- Sports activity (date, time, intensity and duration)

- Medication intake (date, time, medication and dosage)

In addition, the app provides an overall overview containing the following information:

- Blood sugar (number of measurements, highest and lowest values, number of values ​​in/under and above the target range)

- Blood pressure (number of measurements, highest and lowest values)

- Pulse (number of measurements, highest and lowest value)

- Weight (number of measurements, highest and lowest value)

- Sport (number of sporting activities, average time of sporting activity)

- Nutrition (average amount of food)
