Digital Pilgrimage (Tyneside)

A free app for a Tyneside journey, with art, videos and prayers

The Digital Pilgrimage Project is a free app that takes you a journey around Newcastle, Gateshead and North Shields. As you follow our walking trail around Tyneside, you will find community arts projects created by local churches, videos about local history, prayers from the Northumbria Community and brief thoughts about the meaning of pilgrimage.

This app has been produced by a team of academics, artists, designers, local congregations and schools, based in the CODEC Research Centre at Durham University and supported by the William Leech Research Trust.

This is an experimental app, testing out the idea of using an app to inspire a pilgrimage. We will be fixing bugs and adding more content very soon, and we welcome your feedback in the meantime. What would you like to see next?
