The Application of the Diocese of Campos, was born with the desire to evangelize through the media, and nothing better than being in the hands of people as a unique tool of evangelization.

In a mix of Tradition and Modernity our Diocese takes a step towards evangelizing through the media. In saying goodbye to his co-workers, Jesus commanded them: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Mt 28:19). The Church lives in this order or, as Saint Paul VI reminded us: "The Church exists to evangelize!" Her mission is immense, for there are multitudes that have not yet been reached by the proposal of our Lord, Savior and Master.

From the examples left to us, we conclude that it will be impossible to accomplish our mission if we leave aside modern media. I remember here a statement from the CNBB Social Communication Sector in 1995: "If the Master were led today into the desert of temptations, the Templar might no longer offer him anachronistic and decadent kingdoms to worship him, but the spectacular and tremendous power of the modern machine of communication, more subtle and therefore immensely more effective to dominate peoples and nations. There are great challenges to make visible and present the Project of the Kingdom, synonymous in the history of a culture of life, as a counterpoint to an ever more present culture of death "
