About Donkey Sounds

Donkey Sounds Collection with Ringtones

There is a collection of donkey sounds in the donkey sound file. Simply downloading the app will allow you to hear the sound.

The donkey, scientifically known as Equus africanus asinus, is a domesticated member of the family Equidae, which also includes horses. The African wild ass is the animal that the donkey can trace its wild ancestry back to. At least 5,000 years ago, people began employing donkeys in a variety of labor-intensive tasks. Burros are wild donkeys that live in the plains of the desert, where they have to make do with very little food and water for extended periods of time. The donkey's call is two-toned and has a distinctively amusing quality to it. This sound is referred to as "braying" in English, and the spelling of the word is hee-haw.

Donkeys have a loud sound that was likely developed in order for them to keep in contact with other donkeys despite the vast distances that separate them in the desert. A bray is another name for this. Donkeys that are kept in captivity are still going to bray for a variety of reasons, even though they do not have the need to maintain contact with other donkeys over great distances.
