Dismantling the Myth of Western Superiority, Building Civilizational Equality

The experience of having lived for approximately three years studying social and political science along with the hustle and bustle of life in the heart of orientalist Europe, specifically in Germany, has encouraged the author personally to study the Western world, specifically European civilization. Based on this encouragement, this work, which had previously been written but had not yet been published to the general public, is now intended to appear as a scientific work.

Personally, the author would like to express his thanks to various parties, because this book is available thanks to their services and support. The author remembers that when he was little he liked Son Goku's appearance in the film "Dragon Ball". The highest knowledge can be obtained when he is able to unite the strengths of the people around him. Likewise, the author has gathered these "powers" until this book was born.

This work is an academic manuscript written while studying but then underwent improvements in various aspects, especially the addition of the latest references. The author would like to express his thanks to Dr. Alim Roswantoro and Dr. Zuhri supervised the process of writing this manuscript. The author also expresses his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Hassan Hanafi was willing to communicate directly with the author via e-mail on several occasions to confirm that he was related to the study of accidentalism during the manuscript writing process.

Unfortunately, communication via e-mail could not be properly documented because the author forgot the e-mail password. Thank you also to our parents, the greatest younger siblings Syahid Al-Bani and Indah Al-Fiani, our beloved wife Chusnul Septina Ari and our intelligent children Queena Nabihasophie Al-Hamdi and Aizza Medinareswari Al-Hamdi who remain faithful in navigating this ocean of life .

Although many parties have made important contributions to this book, responsibility for content analysis and other technical errors remains with the author so criticism and suggestions are open to acceptance. It is hoped that this book will enrich scientific knowledge about the Islamic world, especially in relation to the study of democracy, Islam and politics, orientalism and occidentalism.

Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
