Fare Card / Smart Card

This application allows transit authorities to create rechargeable fare cards.

This is an application that provides passengers the ability to pay their bus fare using a Fare card / Smart card.

The Fare Card / Smart Card is a rechargeable card created by the transit authorities that can hold an amount prepaid by the client. The card will also hold the fare amount to be deducted at each card swipe. Cards are scanned when the client boards the bus. Fare are deducted in real time. Cards may be recharged by the client when the balance runs low.

This feature benefits both the client and the transit authority. Fare collection by the drivers and the back office fare reconciliation is reduced to a minimum. There are no transaction charges so transit authority do not need to co-ordinate with any third party banking or billing institutions. The Transit authority is in full control of all funds.
