When you click an app in your favorites tray it will open. I personally use it to make quick phone calls.For example, I save the phone app inside the tray, then when in another app an anxious to make a phone call i just pull down my favorites tray i and tap the phone icon. The apps are sorted A-Z to make it easier to search.
