I am Floriana Prattichizzo and I was born on March 14, 1953 in San Severo, in Puglia. My passion for art has manifested itself since early adolescence, characterized by a tendency, perhaps typical of the age and historical period, to idealization and daydreaming. Creativity allowed me to free my imagination. The pictorial works in particular enchanted me, because, for me, they re-propose what we see, charging it with universal emotions, which are transmitted to those who look at them and pamper the heart, gratifying the sense of "beauty", which is in each of us. I started drawing and painting as a girl, when I could leave books aside for a bit. I was lucky enough to be a pupil, in middle school, in Drawing, of professor Pazienza, father of the artist Andrea. He had sensed my inclination. I obtained a high school diploma from the Liceo Classico di San Severo and a degree in Literature from the University of Naples. I became a teacher and I practiced my profession with passion, while ups and downs of personal events and consequent choices led me to live for about eighteen years in Abruzzo and for another twenty in Vieste (FG), to follow my loved ones. For some years now I have been living the wonderful experience of being able to devote myself to painting with new attention and intensity, of course, with increased awareness. I am self-taught, but I continue to study and experiment. Art was born in me as a need for kindness and harmony, I look for beauty in things and people. Probably also due to my classical training, I love composure. I am particularly attracted by figurative art, but I am also nostalgic for Impressionism, Pointillism, the art of the Macchiaioli. I never get tired of searching, pausing to look and also admire many contemporary art products. Images of several of my works can be found on the FineArt America website. In the year 2022 I participated in two competitions and passed the selection. My name appears in the catalog of the Galleria Margutta-Casa Ed. Pagine, together with three of my paintings. At my request, the same publishing house created a virtual gallery on YouTube for me. I am also present, with one of my works, in the catalog of Giarte - VII Exhibition - Visual Arts 2022.
