Normally, when you put your Samsung Galaxy phones such as the S6/S7/Edge, Note 5 or Note 7 into the Gear VR, the Oculus app will auto start and bring you into the Oculus world.

As a result, it's impossible to watch or play other cardboard apps or games such as Youtube.

Use Cardboard apps for Gear VR solves this problem by disabling the "Gear VR service" package on your phone so it cannot start the Oculus app automatically.

When you switch back to the default Gear VR mode, this package is enabled again.
