Delfshaven is more than just its historical port: it is metropolitan, diverse and mainly populated by people with a migrant background. This is where the world comes together. This was also the case four centuries ago. Newcomers arrived here en masse, on the run or in search of a better life. In 1620, the Pilgrims also left for America from here. Comings and goings: the hallmark of a port.
