Efforts to collect the essays of the late Buya Prof. DR. The HAMKA which is currently being carried out by the sons of the deceased is apparently not an easy work and can be completed in a short time. The difficulties encountered were due to negligence in keeping archives from when the deceased was still alive.

Apart from that, another difficulty was because the deceased's essays were written in various publications, most of which no longer exist. Therefore, the work of compiling these essays in a book also requires persistence and patience which requires a long time.

Thus, the sons and daughters of the deceased, assisted by sympathizers and the deceased's students, are still continuing to try to collect the essays of the late Buya HAMKA. Through the introduction to this book, we also hope for help from the community to help with this effort.

The book entitled "1man and Amal Saleh" is written by the deceased and was published serially in the Al Islam magazine, a magazine which discusses Islamic matters scientifically; under the leadership of the late Al Ustaz Z.A. Abbas and Islamic scholars in Medan.

Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
