ISTI App provides information on science, technology & innovation in India

The India Science, Technology and Innovation Portal App is a one-stop window for information about developments in India on science, technology and innovation.

The App focuses on bringing all stakeholders and Indian STI activities on a single online platform; helping efficient utilization of resources; highlighting functioning of scientific organizations, laboratories and institutions; aggregating information on science funding, fellowship & award opportunities spanning from school to faculty level; pooling together conferences, seminars and events; and projecting science in India with its major achievements.

The App is a veritable repository of India’s scientific research activities in every field. It also hosts information about the organizations carrying out the research, those funding them, international collaborations, the scientists involved in the research, the States in which they are being carried out, their achievements & impacts.

The App brings to the table the storehouse of technologies developed in India, the organizations that have developed these technologies, those that have funded them and the status of the technologies. This provides information on the fingertips for industries to pick out from ready-to-use, scalable technologies also technological solutions that non-governmental development organizations can use for social benefits. The portal also provides information about the programmes and schemes the government of India offers to boost scientific activities, and also ways in which the government of India is boosting innovations. It projects India’s STI policies, regulations & vision through various documents developed by the numerous science-related wings of the government. S&T Roadmaps, STI policy documents, S&T indicators, S&T investments.

A major thrust of the App is to reach out to students, researchers, scholars, scientists both from India and abroad, so that they can choose from the mine of fellowships, scholarships, funding, and startup opportunities that India puts on their plate.
