Almost There

A location-based text message app, notifying someone as you near their location.

This app was made with the "I'm almost there" texting & driving scenario in mind. You enter in a phone-number or select one from your contacts list, then enter in their address-location, choose a distance("1 mile" for instance) and press "Start Trip". Once the trip has started, when you are within the chosen distance of their address, an automatic text message will be sent their way, letting them know of your coming arrival. This prevents the need to text "I'm almost there" while driving, or texting upon arrival and waiting for them to finally come outside. Fun feature: if the rider you've selected texts your phone with the word "Distance", your phone will automatically respond with a text and a close estimate of your distance from them.
