What's the benefit of disabling a built-in app?

Why disable it and not uninstall it?

If you suffer for any force-close or apps becoming unresponsible, go back to the app and toggle the state once again. If you uninstalled the app, you're no longer able to recover it, unless you have a backup somewhere and still, it won't probably be as it was before.
